- Local residents may obtain a library card upon presentation of proof of address. Adults may check up to 12 books total, children up to a limit of 5 books total.
- Arizona residents may obtain a library card upon presentation of proof of address and upon payment of a $5.00 non-resident fee, good for 1 year. Adults may check out 12 books total, children 5 books total.
- Out of area residents who live in California and who have a valid library card with the library serving their residential area may obtain a Palo Verde Valley library card free of charge. A local card is necessary to check books out from The Palo Verde Valley Library. Limit 3 books per card
- Out of state visitors and California residents who do not have a library card in their area of residence may obtain a library card upon payment of a $25 deposit, refundable upon leaving the area with all books returned and fines and fees, if any, paid in full. Limit 3 books per card.
